Missed-Call Verification

Missed Call Verification

OTP verification is effective, but relying on it alone may not always be the most efficient or cost-friendly option. Missed Call Verification provides a simple, secure, and budget-friendly way to verify users. When used together with OTP, it improves accuracy, reduces costs, and helps generate verified leads more reliably.

What is Missed Call Verification?

Missed Call Verification allows users to confirm their mobile number simply by giving a missed call from their registered phone.
Here’s how it works:

  1. The user enters their mobile number during the signup or verification process.
  2. They are shown a dedicated number to give a missed call to.
  3. The system automatically detects the incoming missed call.
  4. The user is instantly verified — no SMS required.

2-Factor Authentication via Missed Call

This method uses a missed/dropped call from the user’s registered mobile number as a second authentication factor. The call disconnects automatically before being answered, ensuring fast and secure verification without any user charges.

  • Password-less and secure authentication

Requirements

  • A dedicated missed call number

API Workflow

  1. The user submits details on your website or app registration/login page.
  2. They receive a number to give a missed call to.
  3. After the call, your system sends the user’s mobile number to our API.
  4. The API responds with an authentication status code:
    • 000 – Verified
    • 001 – Not Verified

If the response is Verified, you can proceed with the user’s login, signup, or transaction process.

Note: A callback URL is mandatory. The system sends responses to the callback URL whether or not the user completes the missed call.
